The Locals Group is a creative production house
The Locals Group is a company started by two adventurous, mountain-loving brothers as a way to avoid getting a desk job and keep doing what they love - mostly skiing and traveling. So far, it’s worked!
We started in 2012 as a ski/snowboard blog centered around quality content; because we could make skiing anywhere look good. This was the idea for SnowLocals, the first of a host of other sites for the action sports world that we imagined would comprise The Locals Group.
Along the way the idea morphed as we began making promotional material for Japanese ski resorts, which led to work with tourism offices, and then brands looking to showcase their latest gear. Our videos and photos captured the simple joys of skiing/snowboarding, traveling, and exploring with friends. People saw our content and were inspired to go skiing in Japan. This isn’t a hunch or a theory that we have; hundreds of people have paid us to take them skiing in Japan or build them a trip based on the photos and videos they have seen (we simultaneously operate a travel agency specifically for skiing/snowboarding in Japan).
Now we have a tried and tested team with world class photographers, cinematographers, and athletes. We have a unique ability to make stunning content for a fair price.
